This new course! has 2+ miles of new single track AND runs by Dog Lake! You’ll start at Brighton’s base by the Alpine Rose and climb as you have in year’s past to the ridge BUT this time you’ll take a quick detour and skirt Dog Lake. Once at the ridge you’ll head down on the road as you have in year’s past BUT STAY ALERT because about a mile down the dirt road you will take a HARD RIGHT on new single track! that winds 2+ miles all the way down to the bottom of the Great Western ski lift. From here it’s a quick sprint up to the FINISH! Look forward to seeing you AND Thanks for your support!
Long Course: about 7.5 miles and 1500 ft of elevation gain (depending on your watch/strava) Click here to download course GPX. Please note that courses may be altered.
New Course! You’ll start at the Alpine Rose and run on the dirt service road over to the base of Millicent. From here you’ll climb up the service road (SLOGing for about 1 mile:) and hang a left on the Brighton Lakes Trail where you’ll then traverse over and under the Millicent boulder field and up to Lake Mary (Take in the Views!). You’ll then skip down the trail and hang a right and skirt by Dog Lake (Perfect photo op!). Continue up towards Clayton Peak. At the ridge hang a right (YOU ARE NOT GOING TO CLAYTON PEAK!) and head down the dirt road. About a mile down the road hang a right on the new single track and you’ll take this all the way to bottom of the Great Western lift. From here it’s a quick sprint to the Finish Line!
