IMPORTANT: gun time is used to calculate your race time = the timer starts for all participants when we say “3..2..1.. Go!”

Age/Sex Based Categories in 5 year increments (your racing age = your age on December 31st, 2023)

SEASON PASSES ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE.

LONG OR SHORT COURSE

At every race two different races occur. Short Course Race = 3-5 miles and a Long Course Race = 7-9 miles

POINT SYSTEM EXPLAINED (You must participate in at least 6 Races to be considered for end of season awards. Participation is running in at least 6 races or running in at least 5 races and volunteering (5pm - close) once. Note if you run every race all your points will count)

Wednesday Races:

In other words, everyone who runs will receive at least 6 points for racing. If you DNF during the race you will receive 1 series point.

Points for Volunteering 5pm-Close: Volunteers will received 25 series points (equivalent of 1st place) for volunteering 5pm - Close. You may volunteer more than once but will only receive the 25 points one time. If you volunteer a 2nd time you will receive a free race entry voucher that you can give to family or friend etc. All volunteers must check-in with race staff and check-out at the end of race. If you don’t complete your full volunteer time slot you will not receive any points. If you cancel your volunteer slot less than 24 hours before your slot or are a no show, you may not volunteer at a future race and will not be eligible for a jacket.

End of Season Awards will be given to the top 3 series point leaders in each age/sex category at the end of the season as well as Overall Leaders in both the Short and Long Course. You must participate in at least 6 Wednesday Evening races to be considered for end of season awards. This creates the possibility of someone who has enough points to place in the top 3 in their category but does not qualify for end of season awards due to not having participated (raced and or volunteered) in the minimum amount of races (6 races). In that case, the next qualifying participant on the points ladder will be considered for that award. Racers who place top 3 in an Overall Category (Long or Short) will not be considered for age category awards as they will be receiving awards for the respective Overall Category (Long or Short). This system favors the consistent racer. 

IMPORTANT! Points are accrued separately for the Short and Long Course. If you run some Short Course Races and some Long Course Races, you will have separate points for each. The points from your Short Course and Long Course races are not additive. So if you're interested in accruing the most points, race consistently in the same course (Short or Long). That being said you can race a combination of both Long and Short Course races to reach the 6 race threshold in order to be considered for awards ie. you just have to participate as explained above 6 times to be considered for awards.

Registration for individual races opens about 1 week before each race on the respective race page.

This is a 5 month fitness program. You will get in shape, increase your speed, and create new friendships.

Long Course Races Start at 6:30 PM.

Short Course Races Start at 6:45 PM

DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO RUN WITH PARTICIPANTS.

RACE BIBS MUST BE WORN ON THE FRONT OF YOUR BODY. Runners who place their bib on their back will be DNF’d and will not receive points
